Adventure

We are always ready for an adventure and travel. We love finding fun places for our children to experience and make memories. For our oldest birthday, he wanted to visit the Aquarium and Lego land in Atlanta, GA. So, we packed the car and picked up Mema. The Aquarium was amazing, and the kids learned so much about the sea life. That night we found a late-night dessert shop. The next day we went to Lego land. it was interactive and fun. We all built Legos and of course went home with new sets to build. A perfect weekend!

Every year for Halloween we pack the camper up and head up to the mountains. This started as a glamping trip for Becca's birthday and now is a much-loved tradition. The weekend of Halloween at the campground there is a festival, games, costume contest, movies, haunted house, and of course trick or treating. We always bring pumpkins and carve scary Jack-O-lanterns.  Everyone decorates the outside of their campers and passes out candies to all the children in the campground. We imagine how cute baby would be in their costume and how much fun their first trick or treat will be.

In our family even work can be a fun adventure. Becca had specific windows she wanted when we were building our house. So, the family loaded into the truck to pick up windows. As we traveled, we stopped at an antique mall we saw on the map. The kids love searching for uranium and looking at the old things. We picked up the windows and saw Summit Racing was nearby. We stopped in and the boys were in heaven looking at cars. Lastly, we found a cute town on the way back to stop for dinner and ice cream!

One of the larger adventures we have taken as a family was a cruise to the Bahamas. "Mema and Dadee", mom, dad, and the kids packed up and started a road trip to From SC to FL. Along the way we stopped at attractions and to get sweet treats. One of our favorites was the Warbird Museum. While on the ship we enjoyed swimming, shows, and all the food! The ship was amazing. Coco Cay has a waterpark, and the kids spent hours playing and exploring the island. In the Bahamas they enjoyed the beaches, market, and experiencing new culture.
